A Toast to Love and Legacy

Journey through the timeless tales of love with Beaulieu Vineyard's fine wines, each carefully chosen to mirror the rich and varied experiences of classic romantic epics. As we uncork these stories, let the aromas and complex flavors of Beaulieu's vintages intertwine with the narratives of love, passion, and devotion that have captivated readers for generations.
Georges de Latour Cabernet Sauvignon – "Wuthering Heights"
As tempestuous as the moors of Emily Brontë's "Wuthering Heights," the rich hues of Georges de Latour Cabernet Sauvignon are a harbinger of passion and tumult. This bold and complex wine weaves a tale of blackberries and cassis, akin to the forbidden love of Cathy and Heathcliff that leads every sip into the next layer of their damaging affection. The robust tannins echo the emotional grip of their intertwined fates, for readers and drinkers alike to savor and suffer in equal measure.
Tapestry Reserve Red Wine – "Pride and Prejudice"
A love that slowly unfolds like a well-crafted tapestry, Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice" finds its vinicultural counterpart in Beaulieu Vineyard Tapestry Reserve Red Wine. With each chapter, characters and flavors develop, revealing nuanced layers of cherries, violets, and a touch of oak, just as the spirited courtship between Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy blossoms. This robust wine stands as a testament to the full-bodied love that overcomes societal barriers, a perfect accompaniment to a classic tale of refinement, wit, and romance.
Reserve Chardonnay – "Romeo and Juliet"
The pure and unblemished love of Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" finds a kindred spirit in Beaulieu Vineyard Reserve Chardonnay. Crisp green apple and juicy pear flavors evoke the rarefied air of Verona, where the young lovers' serenades filled the night with promises and hope. The elegant texture and the embrace of vanilla and toast reveal a love that, like the wine, is both timeless and tragically cut short, leaving a lingering sweetness that is as poignant as it is beautifully tragic.
Reserve Ranch 2 Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon– "Casablanca"
In the classic love story of "Casablanca," emotions run high in a complex web of star-crossed lovers and moral dilemmas. Beaulieu Vineyard Reserve Ranch 2 Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon unfolds similar complexities in a versatile blend, offering hints of tropical fruit and a whisper of French oak that reflect the bitter and the sweet moments of Rick and Ilsa's romance. The wine's crisp acidity and smooth finish ponder the depths of love—from the initial burst of passion to the haunting echoes of love that resigns to sacrifice in the famous foggy airport scene.

A Beaulieu Vineyard Love Story
Toast to love and legacy
Georges and Fernande de Latour
Married on April 25th, 1898, Georges and Fernande founded Beaulieu Vineyard with the vision of making Napa Valley wines that would rival those of his native France. In 1900, when they first laid eyes on the land that would become our original Rutherford vineyard, Fernande said "Quelle beau lieu!" or "What a beautiful place.” Shortly thereafter, Georges de Latour sold his thriving cream of tartar business, bought the four-acre ranch, and expanded their land holdings over the next several decades, many of which are still part of the Beaulieu Vineyard portfolio today establishing a legacy of quality wine that transcends the generations.
