Whipped Burrata with Lemon, Herbs, and Honey with Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc

Legend has it burrata was invented during a blizzard by a snowed-in Italian cheesemaker named Lorenzo. We celebrate his genius with our springtime take on this irresistible creation. Paired with BV Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc, our whipped burrata is the fresh-meets-cozy snack you’ve been dreaming of.

A: Burrata, which means “buttery,” is a variety of cheese originally made in the Puglia region of southern Italy. It has a soft, fresh mozzarella shell on the outside and a combination of cream and mozzarella shreds (stracciatella) on the inside. It comes in a few different sizes, but the standard is 4 oz, or about the size of an orange.
