Why the 1957 Les Paul Reissue: The 1957 Les Paul represents the year/model that Gibson’s innovations in electric guitar building reached a zenith of influence. For the first time in the Les Paul’s history, the 1957 Les Paul featured its most desirable spec configuration - humbucking pickups, the adjustable truss rod, and the adjustable ABR-1 bridge with a lightweight stop bar tailpiece. These groundbreaking innovations changed the electric guitar forever and are still industry standards to this day.
