Georges de Latour Private Reserve is among the wines served at a dinner for Winston Churchill at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York. 

Spring of 1946

Beaulieu Chablis is served at a luncheon at San Francisco’s Palace Hotel, given by the French Minister of Foreign Affairs for Anthony Eden, to commemorate the opening of the United Nations. 

March 27, 1956

From an issue of the Napa Valley Register: “Beaulieu Vineyard Cabernet was the featured wine at the formal luncheon tendered President Giovanni Gronchi of Italy by the City of New York at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel. The wine thus honored was B. V. Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 1947. It was chosen to be served with the entree, saddle of spring lamb.” Also at the luncheon were Clare Booth Luce and Henry Luce, Governor Averell Harriman, and Eleanor Roosevelt.

March 18, 1965

Prince Philip attends a luncheon organized by the British-American Chamber of Commerce in New York on March 18, and Georges de Latour Private Reserve is served. 

March 28, 1967

Three Beaulieu Vineyard wines were served at the west coast premiere of the film, “Sweet Charity,” at the Sheraton Universal “Hotel of the Stars” in Hollywood. The host was Jules Stein, Chairman of the Board of Music Corporation of America. Pinot Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Champagne Brut were served. From the press release: “The noted business leader and philanthropist has long been an enthusiast for Beaulieu Vineyard wines. In 1965, during the visit of HRH Princess Margaret and the Earl of Snowden, Mr. and Mrs. Stein hosted a special luncheon at University Studios attended by many film stars. This meal featured Beaulieu’s Beaurosé.”
