2010 Georges de Latour Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

Combining elegance and power, the 2010 Georges de Latour Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon opens with deep, ripe aromas of crushed blackberries, dark cherries, bittersweet chocolate and violet. The highly saturated, black-fruit flavors echo the aromas as they expand across the palate and persist on the finish. Nuances of toffee and toasted oak spices, from aging in 100 percent new French oak barrels, add even more complexity. Firm, muscular tannins frame the flavors and enhance the rich texture, while giving promise of cellar-worthiness.

The notably cool 2011 growing season slowed ripening, which fostered complex mineral and floral nuances in the deep fruit expression of our 2011 Georges de Latour Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine opens with layered aromas of crushed blackberries, dark cherries, bittersweet chocolate and violet. The elegant dark-fruit flavors, supported by firm, supple tannins, pick up distinctive minerality on the palate. Nuances of toffee and toasted oak spices, from aging in 94 percent new French oak barrels, add even more complexity.
