1992 Georges de Latour Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

From our library!

California's longest drought in recent history came to an end for the 1992 growing season. Ideal weather conditions prevailed during bloom and fruit set. Cool temperatures throughout June gave way to warm/hot temperatures in July and August allowing for sugar concentration. While a cooling period in September slowed down the ripening, harvest was completed under sunny skies without any real threat of autumn rain.

2012 Georges de Latour Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

We're opening up the cellar!

The high-quality 2012 harvest was a winemaker's dream. The relaxed, easy vintage was greatly appreciated after the challengingly cool weather patterns in 2011. Long stretches of sunny days coupled with foggy nights gave our 2012 wines exceptionally rich, expressive flavors and impeccable balance. The ideal growing season well timed rains, no frost during bud break, and perfect weather for bloom, berry set and ripening was textbook Napa Valley.

2016 Georges de Latour Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

The 2016 Georges de Latour Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is bursting with a bouquet of cassis, blueberry, blackberry, violet and wild sage, exhibiting extraordinary concentration, depth and elegance of this superior vintage. Full-bodied and rich on the palate with lingering flavors of dark blackberry, root spice, chocolate and molasses supported by perfectly balanced acidity which adds length, juiciness and freshness to an everlasting finish. Plush “Rutherford Dust” tannins support the ever-expansive palate, while seamlessly integrating with full-bodied texture, crafting a wine that shows grace, and approachability now, but with underlying power and structure to keep this wine alive for decades to come. Well integrated notes of vanilla and toasted oak spices - from aging in new French oak barrels - heighten aromas and dance on the lengthy finish. To enjoy this wine at its full potential, we recommend at least five years of bottle aging; however, if you can’t wait, decant before serving.

2016 Maestro Collection Cabernet Sauvignon Syrah

The 2016 Maestro Collection Cabernet Sauvignon Syrah is a dark and brooding wine with intense aromas of blackberry, blueberry, black cherry, fresh espresso and black pepper spice notes, a distinctive characteristic of the Syrah. The palate is big and rich with flavors of juicy macerated blackberries, berry compote, Black cherry, mocha and subtle dried lavender. The tannins are velvety smooth and round, while the mouthfeel is plush, leading to a lengthy finish. A core of bright acidity provides excellent balance, adding to its overall drinkability now or cellaring for several years. This is an intriguing and unique wine and a blend you don’t often see in the Napa Valley but will be a pleasing discovery for many.

2017 Maestro Collection Ranch No. 11 Zinfandel

The 2017 Ranch No. 11 Zinfandel shows vibrant aromas of briary blackberry, black cherry and ripe plum, alongside spiced notes of black pepper, clove, cedar and allspice. This well-balanced Zin shows concentrated flavors of dark bramble berry with layers of black tea tannins supporting the firm yet approachable structure of the overall wine. Perfectly in balance, with bright acidity, the wine finishes with a velvety texture that coats the palate leaving a lifted, lasting, flavorful impression.
